Stephen Monteiro, a media scholar and theorist based in the Department of Communication Studies at Concordia University, Montreal. His work focuses on the cultural roots and consequences of media design and networked interactivity. He is the author of two books: The Fabric of Interface, published by The MIT Press in 2017, and Screen Presence, published by Edinburgh University Press in 2016. He is also the editor of The Screen Media Reader, published by Bloomsbury in 2017. His essays and articles on contemporary media have appeared in numerous international journals.
