The recent developments in terms of machine-learning have opened the way to a new generation of artificial intelligences. Although at the moment AI is mostly employed as part of various system of economic production, its current line of development points towards an increasing role as a system of prediction. AI systems will soon be able, not only to assist humans in their productive endeavors, but also to direct their activity in line with its own predictive understanding of the future. In his intervention, Italian philosopher Federico Campagna will discuss the metaphysics that underlie such a development of AI systems, and particularly the fallacies and criticalities that hide at its core.
