The Other Shapes of Art’s sixth guest: Ursula Wolz – Ph.D. Educational Informatics

Ursula Wolz,Ph.D. studies Educational Informatics, She combines academics and entrepreneurship to develop computer-based learning environments ranging for hands on off-computer workshops, to storytelling engines for instruction, to artificially intelligent tutors. She founded RiverSound Solutions with a mission to empower computer users to become creators with, rather than consumers of computing. Her recent work includes “code crafting” through which she explores how computer science concepts (from function parameters, to path finding, to generative design) can be expressed through hand and machine textile production.
